Dallas Car Rental FAQ

Booking & Payment

For car rental in Dallas, the following information and documents are required:

For US Citizens and Residents

  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Proof of full auto insurance (liability, collision, and comprehensive).
  • A US residential address.

For International Renters

  • A valid foreign driver’s license.
  • Travel auto insurance or US auto insurance coverage (we can assist with options if needed).
  • Temporary US address.

We focus on long-term car rentals, with rental options based on weekly and monthly rates:

  • Weekly Rate – available for rentals of 5–7 days, offering a convenient short-term option.
  • Monthly Rate – special long-term pricing for rentals of 30 days or more.

Currently, Enginelity does not supply third-party insurance. To rent a vehicle through Enginelity, you must hold an active full coverage auto insurance policy in your own name. This policy must include liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage that extends to rental vehicles.

We accept credit and debit cards through our booking platform. Additionally, Zelle, cash, or invoice payments may be accepted by prior agreement.

A refundable security deposit is required for every rental and must be paid before vehicle pickup. The amount typically ranges from $250 to $1,000, depending on the vehicle. The exact deposit amount will be provided before confirming your reservation.

The deposit can be submitted via credit card, debit card, Zelle, or cash, and will be returned using the same method it was received.

All fees are clearly disclosed during booking or in the rental agreement. Optional services or penalties (e.g., extra miles, cleaning fees) are only applied when applicable.
A processing fee of up to 3% may apply for payments made with US debit or credit cards, and up to 5% for payments made with international debit or credit cards.

Delivery & Pickup

Vehicle delivery is available within Dallas and surrounding areas. A $60 delivery fee and a $60 return fee apply. Delivery must be arranged in advance and confirmed during the booking process.

Yes. Free pickup and return are available from our designated location. For added convenience, contactless vehicle handoff is available via secure lockbox upon request.

You can return the vehicle to our pickup location or schedule a return delivery to your address (delivery fee applies). The vehicle must be returned on time, clean, and with the same fuel level.

Airport Delivery & Pickup

We operate exclusively with advance reservations. Your vehicle will be delivered to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field Airport and ready for you upon arrival.

Your car will be parked in the Parking area. After your booking is confirmed, you will receive the exact parking space number along with detailed instructions to help you locate the vehicle quickly and easily.

No problem at all – your car will be waiting for you in the Parking area, regardless of flight delays or arrival time. Whether it’s late at night or early in the morning, you can count on your vehicle being ready when you land.

Enginelity offers a flexible and affordable rental experience with no hidden fees. We specialize in long-term rentals and provide personalized support, well-maintained vehicles, and transparent terms through a legally binding rental agreement.

You can book a car directly through our website. All reservations must be completed online.Support is available if you need help during the booking process.

We offer two main categories: Economy and Luxury. Our fleet ranges from practical options like the Toyota Corolla to premium vehicles like the Porsche Panamera.

We primarily serve San Antonio and nearby cities. If you need a vehicle outside this region, please contact us to confirm availability.

Yes. We may offer long-term discounts, promotional deals, or corporate rental options. Please contact us directly for more information.

Usage & Travel

Yes. All rentals include 100 miles per day (e.g., 700 miles for a 7-day rental). If you exceed the limit, an extra mileage charge applies. The overage rate depends on the vehicle and is outlined in the rental agreement. Some vehicles may offer an unlimited mileage option at the time of booking.

By default, travel is only permitted within Texas and neighboring states: New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. Travel beyond this region requires written approval from the Owner and may result in penalties if unauthorized.

Yes. All vehicles are equipped with toll tags. Tolls will be invoiced to you after your rental ends. We only charge the actual toll amount – no extra service fees.

Please inquire in advance. Pet policies vary by vehicle and may require a cleaning fee.

During Your Rental

Our vehicles are regularly maintained. If an issue arises, contact us immediately. We’ll evaluate the situation and assist with repair, replacement, or refund as outlined in your agreement.

Yes. You can extend your rental by submitting payment for the next period. Your contract will be updated accordingly.

Yes. We offer child seats upon request. You can add a child seat during the booking process.
